What Elaneer Kuzhambu is
Elaneer Kuzhambu is a classical Ayurvedic herbal preparation, prepared by Art of Vedas as a light, cooling oil for the delicate skin around the eyes and on the face. It is anhydrous, meaning it contains no added water, so no preservative is needed: a coconut oil base carrying tender coconut and the extracts of classical herbs. It is made in India under Good Manufacturing Practice, following ISO 22716 principles, and is not tested on animals. It carries a period after opening of 12 months and is offered in an 8 ml size.
The formula is entirely plant-based, so the oil is vegan. It carries the three classical myrobalans (Haritaki, Bibhitaki, Amla) with liquorice and a small amount of camphor, in a coconut oil base. Elaneer Kuzhambu in classical Ayurveda
Elaneer Kuzhambu takes its name from Elaneer, the tender coconut, joined with the three myrobalans and other classical herbs. It belongs to the classical preparations recorded in the Ayurvedic literature, in the tradition of the Sahasra Yogam.
It is prepared by a classical method in which the tender coconut and herbs are processed into a coconut oil base. In the tradition it is applied gently to the delicate skin around the eyes as a cooling, refreshing preparation.
